Long Answer

1. The events and consequences in Jurassic Park illustrate the dangers of genetic engineering. Each of the people responsible for the park’s creation, including Hammond, Wu, and Arnold, are killed in the wake of the chaos. Nedry is killed in his attempts to steal DNA and support the creation of even more dinosaurs by another company. Not only does Hammond die, but his dream and his park are also destroyed. Several innocent people die trying to prove these dangers. Hammond’s desire to show that he could conquer nature by bringing dinosaurs back to life and controlling the largest and most dangerous animals known to ever exist shows that he was ultimately foolish and driven by power and profit. (Various chapters)

2. Each new part of the novel is introduced with an illustration of a fractal and how it slowly descends into chaos the more complex it becomes.
