The School For Good and Evil Chapters 16-20 Summary & Analysis

Chapter 16 Summary: “Cupid Goes Rogue”

Sophie accuses Agatha of double-crossing her with the coffin challenge. Agatha tries to placate her, but Sophie decides to do things her own way and refuses her help. Sophie tries talking to Tedros several times, but he rebuffs her.

Students are assigned creature sidekicks. Grimm, Sophie’s sidekick, attacks Agatha with arrows every chance he gets. After a week of arrows, Agatha lures Grimm into a well in the forest, knocks him out, and has Sophie help her seal the well. Agatha wants to help with Tedros, but Sophie spurns her offer again.

The rest of the school releases their henchmen back to the Blue Forest. Sophie finds a love spell but needs a drop of Tedros’s scent. Sophie brings Tedros’s tie to Hester and leverages her into making the potion by taunting her about becoming Evil Captain. Hester pours the potion into a heart-shaped bullet. When the bullet hits Tedros, it ricochets off him and smashes back into Sophie, leaving a giant, bloody F on her robe as punishment for breaking the rules. Sophie hides in her room, where Agatha gives her a mirror and tells her to show Tedros the real Sophie.
